Our master watchmakers have transformed the Unitas 6497-1 hand-wound movement into an automatic movement, making the standard a unique and innovative masterpiece of the trade with additional benefits for watch enthusiasts.

An extended power reserve of 53 hours is the result of the newly developed maninspring barrel with its high-quality mainspring and new bridle.

The beautifully decorated timepiece faithfully performs its duties behind a sapphire crystal case back, open to the admiring glances of the observer. Due to a shift of the symmetry axis, the crown comes to lie at two o’clock. Directly opposite, at eight o’clock, the small second runs its course and rounds off the elegant appearance of the BIGMATIC 16 ½ ´´´.

The models BIGMATIC 16 1/2''' and BIGMATIC 16 1/2''' Limited Edition (200 pieces) will be available as of November 2011.
